COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR - HERO DESKTOP

COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR

The best-licensed vendor for interior painting in commercial buildings is C&C Paint and Pressure Wash.

As a commercial building owner, you have many skills. However, having your commercial building painting interior done “the right way” may not be on your skills list.

Keeping your building’s deck looking new can drastically improve the quality of the look of your property. It also keeps your property looking nice, which is particularly important if you have tenants over or hope to sell. When you hire our professionals to do professional work on your property, here is what you should expect from the C&C Paint and Pressure Wash team or any other firm.

Step 1: We Start with a Consultation

Before our professional commercial building painting interior team arrives at your building, they want to know what to expect. We need to clearly understand how big a job they’re committing to so that we can plan their schedule accordingly. A preliminary meeting helps them honor the timeline and price they quote you. We may do this with a phone call, a Zoom chat, and a virtual visit using Google Maps to look at your property.

Step 2: A Planning Visit

There’s a difference between discussing a job and seeing what your building needs up close. We start each job with a visit to the property in question. One reason is to see what safety precautions the cleaning team needs to take. We look at the work area’s construction materials for defects, adjacent plants, and nearby structures, plus we confirm the number of people needed for the job.

We’ll identify any items beyond the scope of our standard work that you may want to correct yourself or have us or another vendor correct before, during, or after our work project. This visit gives the team a clear idea of the tools needed to do the job properly and meet our and the client’s expectations.

Step 3: Work Day Arrival

Before beginning their workday, our team will ensure that the property owner has moved or removed anything that might get in the way of our work or cause damage. We will then cover or otherwise protect any plants or non-movable items in the exposed work area.

Step 4: Repair or Replace Pre-authorized Items

We will repair or replace any items identified and authorized by the property owner during the planning visit or at another time.

Step 5: Perform All Pre-Painting Processes

We will prepare the surface to ensure it is properly textured to receive your selected paint or stain.

Step 6: Perform All Painting Processes

Now that the work surfaces are properly prepared, we will paint or stain them. We put down two coats to be sure that there is good stain or paint penetration and coverage.

Step 7: Final Inspection

Once the area is fully painted or stained, our technicians conduct a final check on the structure. The team inspects each section to look for areas they missed.

Wow -- Jerry Crabb did an *incredible* job on our 3-car garage driveway! I never thought that I'd be actually relieved that my dinky DIY power washer broke down. Calling in an expert like Jerry was a great choice. Turns out I have some other house "things" on my list --and my first call now will be to C&C. Call them -- I'm so glad that that's what I did!

Jerry and crew are fantastic! I had them softwash my roof and pool enclosure last year. Called them back this year to clean my pool enclosure again, along with my driveway/sidewalks, and clean and seal the pavers on my back porch and around my pool. Told me what they were going to do, and when they would be here. Everything went off without a hitch. Will do business with them again.

Timely, friendly, and great quality work! Highly recommend to anyone looking to get some pressure washing done. Really good at communicating and got scheduled quick. Our house is 72 years old and hasn't been cleaned in quite some time, but it was no problem for them! They even explained the whole process to me so I knew exactly what was going on.

COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR

It differs from room to room due to varying degrees of traffic and usage, but the general rule is you should repaint your commercial building interior every 3-5 years.

COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR

A typical interior painting price quote includes all labor, all materials, all taxes, and tips (optional). Your estimate should include the interior surfaces to be painted, the number of paint coats included, a detailed description of the preparation work required, the paint warranty, plus a completion date.

Painting a room in the correct order will reduce drips and runs. A good rule of thumb is to always start with the ceiling, then the walls, and end by painting baseboards, windows, and door trim.

COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR

If the existing paint isn’t peeling, you probably don’t need a primer. If the current wall is smooth, clean, and covered with the same type of paint (for example: both are oil-based), you can paint over the existing paint after a good surface cleaning. You still need to fill holes, spackle, and clean.

COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR

Yes. Cleaning and preparing the wall surface will ensure that your paint job lasts longer and looks better. Surface cleaning involves removing dust, dirt, and old paint chips, applying caulk or putty to cracks in the wall surfaces as well and priming them for optimal results.

COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR

A satin sheen works better on the walls than matte because it’s easier to clean. If your wall has lots of imperfections or bumps then you should choose matte (flat) over satin because it hides surface imperfections better, or better yet, fix the imperfections and use satin finish interior paint.

COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR

Paint your baseboards every two to three years to maintain their appearance.

COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR

Door and window trim and crown molding are safely out of reach and don’t require paint as often. For most, painting every 5 years should work.

COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR

Paint the trim first! Painting a room for the first time is a learning process, but one part is clear – getting the order right for painting trim, painting a ceiling, and painting walls will not only give you a smart result but save you time and effort. Next, tape over the trim. Then paint the ceiling. Lastly, paint the walls.

COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR

Without a primer layer, or a paint with a built-in primer, unpainted wood and drywall can pose huge adherence problems. With fresh drywall, the substrate actually absorbs a primer coating really well, like a sponge. However, because fresh drywall absorbs so well, without a primer coat, you’ll experience uneven coverage, especially along drywall seams.

COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR

You should paint your ceiling with a fresh coat about every ten to fifteen years. It’s best to paint your ceilings at the same time as the rest of your interior walls as a paint job requires moving or protecting furniture.

COMMERCIAL BUILDING PAINTING INTERIOR

You want a minimum of two coats of paint. This is a good rule of thumb for any wall you’re painting. You’ll rarely get a seamless finish from just one coat of paint.

The time it takes for paint to dry depends on the type of paint, the temperature, and the humidity. Both extreme cold and extreme heat will extend the drying time, as will high humidity.

If the room is hot (above 85F) try using a fan. If it’s very cold (under 70F) try using a heater. You can also just let fresh air into the room which can make a large impact and speed up drying time.

Here are the types of paints and how long they’ll take to dry:

  • Primer: 30 to 60 minutes to dry and 1 to 2 hours before applying the second coat.
  • Glossy paint: 60 to 90 minutes to dry and 2 hours before applying the second coat.
  • Semi-gloss: 60 minutes to dry and 2 hours before applying the second coat.
  • Matte Paint: 30 to 60 minutes to dry and 1 to 2 hours before applying the second coat.
  • Eggshell paint: 60 minutes to dry and 2 hours before applying the second coat.

Behrs premium paints are on par with some leading brands when considering long-term durability. But Sherwin-Williams does take the edge against UV resistance and fade. Sherwin-Williams paints also take an edge in blistering and peeling resistance.
